Update 8.8.13

I got my lights back!!!  I love them.  I also have kitchen shelves and a usable closet plus some dog butt towel holders!  The composting toilet has been working great, no smells or problems!  I am very happy to report that!  I still need to hook of the vent so that it vents up high but even as it is it doesn’t seem to be an issue.  I can see how it could be if there were more people using it.  I am shooting to get that done this weekend.  I am also going to try to get my pantry shelves in this weekend so I have a better use of storage.  That is all I have for now!  I hope you all are well!

I have been back to working again the last few days, the big push has been to get my kitchen shelves up. I cut all the wood a few weeks back but now I got it all stained up to match the rest of the wood in the house.

My wreck of a kitchen, since I have no where to put anything it all just piles up! I was getting tired of it!

The smaller shelf going up, I just used some 3" lag bolts straight into the steel

Here is a detail show of how the lag bolts go (out of focus). The smaller shelf just has three lag bolts which are into wood backing.

And with th wood pieces in place, I still have to notch the ones that hit the lag bolts

AND MY LIGHTS ARE HOME!

I LOVE them! I liked the mason jars but these are family pieces of art now, one done by each of my brothers and me!

It feels like a real kitchen now, there are places for things, I need to put some shelves in the pantry and I will feel a lot better!

And the other direction, you may notice the dog crate is gone. Denny has been staying out and about in the house all week and doing amazing! nothing chewed nothing pottied on, he just sleeps. It even nice and cool still inside when i get home and it's been pushing 100 degrees for a while. I love how temperate it stays! I definitely notice the radiant barrier action!

These shelves aren't intended to be stacked high with canned goods or anything like that, because they are designed to be floating shelves I am careful not to over load them.

I have some books on the shelves too! Still need to sell my big tv and buy a little one to fit in there but TV never seems to be my priority...

I also got a very nice thank you note today for showing some folks my place, it was a very pleasant surprise among all of the medical bills I normally get...

I ALSO got my closet bar hung, once I get my hangers from my folks' place can hang up my dresses and shirts.

Should be plenty of space for me, this is actually about the size of closet I had at my last rental, I still have drawers and everything else though!

And I hung my dog butts, there is one on either side of the bathroom window for towels

The other side, I kinda love the dog butts too 🙂 It was a good impulse purchase

And who would I be without a Denver update. He is now at 45 pounds and th most handsome dog ever in my opinion.

He has only ever got better too!

Today he spent a whole 8 hours in the house solo because James and I both couldn't get home for lunch, he did PERFECT

I walked in on him in the middle of a nap, he went right outside and pottied and has never chewed a thing except his rawhide. I do think he has outgrown being able to get up into th loft steps using his method, he's got to find a new one. Handsome devil!
