I made a makeshift elevated dog feeder. Big 'deep chested' dogs like Denny are pretty suseptable to bloating if they have to gulp their food or water which can kill them but at the very least cause major damage, the best way to avoid this is to not have heavy activity soon after eating and to elevate their food so less air goes down with it. I am building a real elevated dog dish but things have been slow. It is pretty important since he's getting bigger to do something though, so I had a big box which i converted to a dog dish holder by cutting holes in it for his dishes, he digs it 🙂 it's pretty ghetto though!

Happy birthday dad! My pops turned 54 yesterday, accorting to him it will be his last birthday, he'd better make it count! (I don't think it will be his last... it's just some morbid thing he told us all our lives... no idea why... either way, happy day!

Denny and Tobi are getting along better, Denny actually plays nice with Tobi and lets him think he's winning. Tobi growls a lot and is teaching that to Denny, which is much scarier sounding but he only really growls when he's playing by himself with a stuffed animal, so I allow it 🙂

This just cracked me up, I was trying to take a picture and mom got up, it totally looks like she is tugging on the toy with Tobi! Sorry mom, it made me laugh!

And the unofficial kick off to fall. The balloon fest is in full swing, that was always the indicator of the end of summer, school starting back up and fall beginning, I didn't used to love it but now, i do very much!

I don't know how many balloons go up, there has to be at lest 50, they litter the whole town in the mornings. I got woke up by one of the burners this morning lighting up just above my house. I tried to show Denny but he doesn't look up! It's so cool, I will be heading down this weekend for more pictures! It's the 'second largest' balloon festival in the country but absolutely tiny compared to the biggest 🙂
