Update 7.22.13
Worked on a lot of things this weekend, my kitchen shelves, my media center, my dresser. It’s getting Oh-So-Close to being done inside! I also got to help out this weekend on a straw bale house! I will have a post about that, with details and lots of images soon! I ALSO have some pretty exciting news on the way shortly, I am trying to figure out how to break it! 🙂 For now, here are some pictures from the weekend!

How I spend my Tuesday nights! A little painting, a little lounging 🙂

Time to build the kitchen shelves, Nater once again pulled through for me just before his big adventure to Alaska! He got a new saw for metal.

One shelf is just under 10'-0" long and the other is 65"

The short shelf

Laying it out on the ground

And together

Assembling them on the rollers and welding

Nater let me weld again, it's been a long time and not very much experience, turns out I still suck though! This is the first weld of mine, shamefull!

But I got better, there is #2

I made some feteccini for my brothers Saturday and this handsome fella happened to pull up next to us, hes absolutely gorgeous and just a baby himself! I'm so glad I got Denny man!

So that is all for shelves I have, I also cut the wood inlays but I guess I didn't get any pictures of that. I started hanging my drawers too and an VERY happy to say that all my clothes are put away in their rightful place! No more finding surprise bras in the yard due to Denny. Yeah!
![I had the drawers slightly undersized [which I thought would be better than accidentally over-sizing them] si i had to add a spacer to one side, I just used the furring strippes I already had cut from the rainscreen wall.](https://minimotives.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/img_20130721_194301_003.jpg)

attached the rollers to either side of the drawer, it was much easier than I expected, once again this is something i KEPT putting off because I thought it would take much longer than it really did

I don't know if I ever showed my drawer pulls, I snagged these up last August in Denver from the Idea clearance section, I got all my rollers for under 10 bucks! They are pretty high weight and decent quality too, definitely recommend that! Sure beats paying a few bucks each!

First drawer in

and it works! Well.

Then to put the face of it on.

That was pretty straight forward too!

Then drawer 2

And 3

and 4 and 5!

5 finished drawers!

I also got the fabric to recover the couch, its a little dusty here but it was a clearance batch and fairly neutral.

This is how Denver gets down the stairs, I'm a little afraid he'll summersault downs ometimes but he seems to think he's got it so I let him at it!

Time for his Sunday shots!

Three months!

He and Tobi are much better friends, even if Tobi refuses to believe it yet.

The drawer under the stove was a tad too big, I accidentally measured from the floor, don't know what I was thinking, we took a saw and trimmed it up though.

Like a clove now, just need some rollers and a face and I have a place to store dog food!
![AND, my Sun-Mar part FINALLY came in, a couple weeks [or a year+ depending on how you look at it] after it should have! Post to be coming soon about my review so far of Sun-Mar, preview... Steer clear! ;-) Hopefully I can get that installed fairly soon](https://minimotives.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/img_20130719_163931_247.jpg)

"I'm watching you" Denny put himself to bed 🙂
Grrrrrreat!
🙂
Those drawers look amazing! I can’t believe how big Denny is already.
Thank you! I know, he’s getting big! 🙂 He’s very handsome though, especially with the paint on his face! hehe!
You must be super excited to be getting so close to completing it! Very inspiring to follow your progress.
Thank you! I am getting pretty pumped, I love following your progress, and your garden looks awesome, my sad plants this year are let down… next year will be better! 🙂
