Update 6.4.13

Finally getting around to planning my bookshelf... It turned from just a book shelf to a bit of a little 'mediacenter/laundry hamper/book shelf

I got to thinking, I don't really have 'that many' books that will need to be stored, I think a couple shelves is enough, and since I won't be able to access the lower shelves very well with the couch where it's at I could make better use of that space. I have a little 14"x10" pull-out drawer for a trash can or, since that would go under the sink pretty easy now, a laundry hamper, next to that is a vented cupboard for a computer (aka media center), the space above would be for the tv, which I want to be able to pull out and around the corner for when I'm in the kitchen, and up above is the book shelves. This unit is to hid the storage behind it and is set on casters and tied to the wall to roll out as needed for access back there.

When I got home dad was hooking up the other side of the axles and I got to help!

Here is the new clearance, we went from about a half of an inch to about 3-3.5 inches, MUCH more comfy!

Dad also happened to almost burn his leg off... he was welding with his legs under the trailer, had conciously decided not to use the fire shield blanket and caught his pants on fire... He didn't notice it at first

but then he had to beat it out and go scrub the skin off, I think this looks a lot cleaner than it feels... OUCH!

I was debating the color of the front doors, I was going to post a poll on here to have you all help me decided but instead I just picked!

It is a little more yellowy than I picked but there was a mess-up at the paint place and I got a discount because of it 🙂

I love the porch

I am almost scared to stain the wood, i think it will bring out the highs and lows better, But I like it how it looks now! 🙂

My bed isnt made, which by the way is a gripe, it is hard to make but I think that is true in any small space, worth it still! 🙂

I don't think I ever showed a close up of my vent, I need to trim this but this is where I vented the water heater.

And the porch corner, which I just kinda like...

I am MUCH more comfortable with with the clearance on the new tires. Dad worked his butt off and almost burned his leg off for these, I think it adds a couple years to my life to not worry about the way the tires were before 🙂

Yesterday I graduated from Leadership Meridian, great program. Most cities have some sort of leadership program and I would HIGHLY recommend you get involved, it is a great first step to touching base with your city.
