Hey Macy ….when i hooked up my gas I learned a few things
Only use a large good regulator like you have at the house I was told the little BBQ one will just cause trouble
evidently due to federal regulations regarding the crimped on fittings on a flexible hose they have to be certified you can find them in many sizes at a RV supplier but not much of anywhere else from what i found In Portland at least
The extra regulator wouldn’t cause a leak it could be within the appliance itself
My cooktop was repurposed from the RE-Store One of the burner valves has a very slow leak for safety I installed a shutoff near the cooktop and turn it on only when cooking
That is a great idea! I am almost sure that is what the problem is. in any case I ordered an alarm and I think I will also see about installing an interior shut-off just for the stove, the water heater should have a constant supply. Thank you for the input! Very helpful!
